Chickpea's Great and Tiny Adventure is the first book in the Bookwomb series. It's a magical tale about the journey of a developing baby inside the mother's womb. It's meant to be read by the expectant mother to her growing belly so that baby hears mama's voice while in the womb. This book can also be read to the newborn and growing, curious child as the brain develops and the relationship between parent and child flourishes.
Chickpea's Great and Tiny Adventure
A Bookwomb Tale of Growth and Wonder
In a faraway place, out of sight,
Sat tiny Chickpea, searching for light.
Away in a womb, yearning to grow,
Capers and wonders, it soon would know.
Chickpea not knowing that two souls met.
With a brand-new love, a path was set.
This magical bond, a life it gave,
To a mere seed, a moment to save.
The first month began easy peasy,
Then Chickpea felt a little queasy.
"I am so tiny" it gently thought,
But big adventures, seeking it sought!
The second month flickered sparkling light,
Forming small buds, it’s growing right!
"Sprouting I am," the Chickpea now said,
A journey of growth, that laid ahead.
The third month produced a big surprise,
Tiny fingers formed, increasing in size!
"I have hands and feet," the Chickpea cheered,
Feeling the wonder, teardrops appeared.

Feeling the wonder, teardrops appeared.
The fourth month dropped in a sounding beat,
Its little heart pounding, what a feat.
"I’m getting big," the Chickpea revered,
It sensed its new life, and wonder seared.
The fifth month began early one night,
Small butterfly kicks, strength and might!
The Chickpea dazzled inside its head,
From Mama’s womb, excitement now led.
The sixth month carried sounds through the air,
Musical notes, Mama sang with care.
"I'm listening," the Chickpea stated,
With sweet songs, it nestled and waited.
The seventh month twinkled stars above,
Little thoughts streaming, wondrous love.
"I'm dreaming so big," now Chickpea smiled,
As growing into a little child.
The eighth month added days to the weeks,
As outside adventures, it now seeks.
"I'm almost complete" the Chickpea beamed,
Now glowing in love, its hope redeemed.
The ninth month burst in with beams of light,
The growing chickpea shining so bright.
"I'm ready," it whispered with a sigh,
Now it dared to spread its wings and fly.
And as it begins, young Chickpea is brave,
Many new days, memories to save.
In Mama's womb, Chickpea found a way,
To grow from a small seed, come what may.
